I can remember when Harrods was a great store, not an overpriced shopping mall with a heady mixture of ostentatious clients and mostly tacky tourists who go just to gawk at things they can’t afford. At least the building still looks good in its prominent Brompton Road location.

How do they prevent theft with that open for all policy? its surely hard to watch every single person, especially during busy hours
Here in the USA in Houston TX the Galleria has a lot of expensive stores. Many have a chain across the entrance and when you want to enter the attendant removes the chain for you to walk in, and then clips it back into place once you are inside. They keep a close eye on you! There are a LOT of minorities in Houston so the security has to be extreme to prevent looting.
